Communication Skills

In-Person or Virtual

Developing Soft Skills

Soft skills are personal attributes that enable you to interact effectively with other people. These skills do not require extensive study or a technical knowledge base but they are vital to successful relationships; they include verbal and non-verbal communication skills, attitude, emotional intelligence, and social skills.

Developing your soft skills involves actively thinking about how you engage with others. It also involves intention. How do you want to make people feel? What are you doing with your verbal and nonverbal communication (tone, body language, eye contact, proximity, active listening) that either make people feel safe or encouraged to connect with you or push them away? How are you being intentional in your interactions with others?

In the age of increased automation, our ability to communicate with each other face-to-face is even more critical to our success. In this program, participants learn how soft skills can help them be more successful in their relationships by actively connecting with others in more authentic and meaningful ways.

Effective Communication

Strategies for Building Awareness and Meaningful Connections

Strong communication is a cornerstone of any successful organization. It plays a critical role in boosting employee engagement, improving retention, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Yet, despite its importance, many people find it challenging to communicate clearly and efficiently. Misunderstandings, missed cues, and communication breakdowns can take a toll on morale, productivity, and working relationships.

This dynamic, hands-on course is designed to help participants develop practical communication skills they can use every day. Through interactive activities and real-world examples, learners will explore techniques for building stronger, more productive relationships, giving and receiving feedback effectively, and recognizing triggers that may lead to conflict. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with tools and insights to communicate more confidently and create deeper, more meaningful connections in both personal and professional settings.

Effective Communication and the Four DiSC Styles

This dynamic and interactive workshop equips participants with the essential communication skills needed to build strong relationships, enhance collaboration, and navigate workplace interactions with confidence. By integrating key principles of effective communication with insights from the DiSC model, participants will develop a deeper understanding of their personal communication style and how to adapt to others for improved teamwork and productivity.

Participants will explore the foundations of effective communication, including active listening, verbal and non-verbal cues, emotional intelligence, and strategies for handling difficult conversations. They will also complete a mini-DiSC assessment to identify their unique communication style. Through engaging discussions and practical exercises, they will learn how different DiSC styles impact interactions and how to adjust their approach to foster stronger workplace relationships.

Giving and Receiving Feedback

This interactive course helps participants strengthen their communication skills by developing emotional awareness and practical strategies for giving and receiving feedback.

Through guided exercises and real-life scenarios, participants will learn to deliver feedback that is clear, constructive, and empathetic, while also building the confidence and emotional resilience to receive feedback with openness and self-awareness.

By emphasizing the human side of communication, the course fosters meaningful dialogue that promotes personal growth, strengthens relationships, and enhances effective collaboration in both professional and personal settings.
